Mrs Tatra

So here's the Tatra. I don't know that much about them. Rear engined V6?  It will probably get in the Revival as they like a few odd balls. I presume it will be at the back of the grid, but then perhaps not? You lads mentioned Borgward Isabella recently. Now if you know the whereadouts of one of those you have got a Revival entry! I think it has to be a TS coupe. Bill Blydstein was the man. I think he died just recently.

The only thing I now about Tatras is that they're Czech and named after the Tatra Mountains. And the fact, that always surprises me, that the 603G saloon used an air-cooled V8 engine and yet only had a cubic capacity of two and half litres.

Yes, they're Czech, although one doesn't see too many of them in the Czech Republic these days, apart from more recent ones. I don't know much about Tatras either, except that they produced one model that looks like a precursor of the VW Beetle and another that looks a bit like a Citroën Traction Avant.

Excuse me; Peter Ashley, what's going on? Whatever happened to old cocoa tin labels and Hanoverian crenelated window sills? Suddenly you've gone all petrol-head. 'Air-cooled V8', 'cubic capacity', '603G'. Pah!
