Where's the champagne?

High all. Sorry I've been away. This rather boring photo is very exciting 'cos it's my first podium finish. The old Jag MK7 came third on Saturday at Snetterton.

Well done Tommy, wondered where you'd been. I hope you didn't waste any Veuve Cliquot on numbers one and two.

Ah, the photograph and title's just appeared. Thought you'd have had a bottle stuffed down your trousers.

Cor. Well done. It must be a great feeling. Give 'em hell next time too.

Great photo....and I love the chap in the foreground. When I was involved in Motorsport (shortly after the Boer War) there was a really famous old guy who got in all the photos with people like Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart and so on. Except he wasn't famous at all...just for getting in on other people's photos! Harry something I think his name was. Eventually, the big names wouldn't have their snaps done WITHOUT him being there!

Blast it Tommy! thanks to Peter Ashley's blog I've now discovered yours. That's two I have to keep
track of now. Having more than a passing interest in wheels two and four, yours seems right up my street too. Well done with the Jag(s) - my preference is for the pre war car and bike but I appreciate the works of Browns Lane (was it?) too. Champagne richly deserved I'm sure.
